I love our 31g but man does it get nasty on our boondocking trips. Plus pulling it in the rain last time didn't help. Long way around the truck and trailer with the foam cannon and the scrub brush. Especially on a 95° degree day. Worth it in the end but sure is a job. Throw in the muddy Talon and it's just about an all day adventure. Who else washes their own?

Our storage lot has a wash bay. We've washed it a few times ourselves. And paid for someone else to wash it once.

I store at home so I guess this is my wash bay.

Wish we had a Blue Beacon or some other good truck wash here. I'd definitely use it.

Been doing that since 1996. Never had any TT anywhere but "in the back yard". Fairly certain I would have to pay someone else to do that.

Mostly we do ours ourselves but when we get home from this long trip I'll have a service do it that comes to me and does the wash and wax. We had that done before we left (6 months ago) so it needs a waxing again. We've washed it ourselves maybe 3 times while on this trip. I still do the truck myself.

Foam cannon is great. I only use the brush on front cap to help get the bugs off. Using Meguiar's Flagship Wash-n-Wax made for fiberglass bots. Works quite well. The foam cannon really sticks it to the trailer so it can sit and soak for a good while. Pretty much just a through rinse from there.

I wash mine before every trip. It comes back from a trip with road grime and sits under trees in storage. I like starting out clean. I use a foam cannon from Chemical Guys. I also use a microfiber pad on an extendable pole. Works like a charm. Probably takes 90 minutes to two hours. This weekend I’m putting ceramic wax on the front. The bugs are pretty challenging to remove. Hopefully this will help.

Thanks for the info on the foam canon. I might have to give that foam canon thing a try.

When we wash ours ourselves I give it a final rinse with a low volume pressure washer fed from a CR Spotless water system and let it air dry. But I have a garage to pull it into too so it drys there after our wash and stays pretty clean.

I try to wash my unit several times a trip, especially to get the bugs off the cap. I truly resent the RV park rules that prevent washing but that is a different topic and different time. I've found pulling into a rest area after a dirty drive and using a bucket of soapy water with a flex hose connected to my outdoor utility line works well enough to eliminate the "shame" of travel. You can't spend several months on the road without the unit looking used and abused. I find 9:00 - 10:00 am works good. It is still cool, most rest areas have shed their overnight glut of truck and I can usually find a corner somewhere to give it a 30 minute "lick and promise".
