Quite common. The seals for RV fridges leave something to be desired.

There’s an poor seal at the top causing air to enter.
I had the same issue. I removed the freezer doors and put a nylon washer on the bottom hinges to raise the doors 1/16”. Problem solved. No more ice build up.
