    Yeah, I knew the thermostat was 12V, just never occurred to me that the AC would shut down when the thermostat shut down. But it sure would. Glad somebody
    is on their toes.

    I've had trailers that had a manual, emergency on/off switch on the A/C unit itself that bypasses the thermostat. Press it and it stays on until you press it again.

    My current Grand Design Reflection is not one of them.
