    Television lift mounting screws

The television lift (televator) mounting screws in our 375RES have pulled out of the aft bulkhead. I suspect there is no backing material, just 4 wood screws driven through the wall material which appears to be luan. I was planning on opening the screw holes slightly, and putting in some Toggler 1/8-1/4 inch hollow door drywall anchors and then running the screws back in. Anyone have a better procedure?

Insulation will likely interfere with opening of toggle style. I'd use molly bolt style. I've never seen which televator setup your rig uses, but you might need something more substantial for a permanent fix. In our former camper, I had to take a piece of heavy sheet metal and spanned it to the wall studs where I secured it. Then I used thread cutting machine screws to secure the televator track.

    +1 to the above.

Ours has a "mounting area" with a plate behind the plywood sheathing as well. I've had good success with the screw-in style sheetrock anchors for pretty heavy things. (Up to 25lbs I'd say...) I would use anchors on all of the mounting holes though.

Molly anchors seem like they would work as well. I specifically tried and failed using toggle bolts because of the foam sheathing.

Thanks. My concern with Molly style was that I wasn't sure how thick that aft bulkhead is. If I have close to 2" of clearance to work with, Molly sounds like a better answer. Any idea how thick that is?

I believe my side walls were 1 1/2"
    , maybe 1 3/4" max...

You can always weight test the screw style anchors, and if they fail, use geotex1's metal plate method. Alternately, you could gently press a coat hanger into the hole through the foam until it hits the other side, then measure it. I did that a few times to be sure I wasn't hitting anything important.

I don't know much about the Molly style...

It's 1-1/2" thick. The molly you'd use is just under 1" long and has a 3/16" grip range. You can find them in most any Lowes, Home Depot, ACE, Menards.

Molly for the win! Worked perfectly and only took a few minutes including removing the television to have better access. Thanks guys.
