I am in the market for one. Narrowed it to a Wen 56380i or a Westinghouse iGen 4500.

Like to know between the two, or if you have a preference to another....around 3500w.

My stay in Canada with my son has shown me that, traveling with one might NOT be a bad option.

I've always liked the Honda EU series. I have two EU2000i units (they can be combined) and a EU7000is. They are very quiet and reliable but usually a little more money than their competitors.

I have a pair of Wen 2000 with a parallel kit. Powers our rig well and they are only 49 lbs which I like as I get older

I have the iGen 4500DF. I love the dual fuel option, as I run mine only on propane. I don't like carrying gas in the bed of my truck. The only negative for me is that it's fairly heavy (almost 100 lbs). I found an extra wide pet ramp that has a 200 lb capacity so that I can load it into my truck by myself.

I bought the Wen 56380i last year and would recommend it. However, have not really used it. Seems well thought out, easy to drain oil when changing, easy to drain gas from tank and carb when storing (draining tank takes a while but not an issue for me). All I have done is exercise it a couple of times and it always starts up easily with the battery.

In that same class, Champion 4650W dual fuel is solid as well.

The LPG Regulator Hose with Regulator to the propane tank is smaller since the demand regulator(Regulator, Auxiliary) is inside the generator.

I have the Onan 4500 identical to the Westinghouse (except for color & service locations). As stated above, a bit heavy but has wheels & a tug handle. Has a fuel shutoff so no need to empty fuel, turn fuel off, let run till it dies, & add some Stabil.

I have an EU3000 Honda and love it. It stays in the bed of the truck so I had to buy a 40 foot cord as the one that came with the trailer was only 35 feet. I run it with the canopy door open and it don't even smell up the carpet on the canopy ceiling. I am looking into the exhaust extension but don't want to make it any louder. The only disadvantage to it is the weight of 140 lbs. full of fuel. I store it on an old "school movie projector cart" and that makes it super easy to load and unload. We run it for about an hour in the morning to run the coffee pot and charge the batteries and are good to go another day.

We have the Wen 56380i. We just got back from a campsite at 8800 feet for two weeks to which we've never tested its hi altitude capabilites; worked wonderfully. We have clocked 76.4 hours of use since we purchased and loved its functionality, ability and quietness from the start.
