Tips for painting interior walls?
Hi all. We have a 2019 2400BH with the dark wood color and somewhat drab walls and want to brighten things up inside the trailer. We’ve seen a lot of YouTube videos on painting interior walls of RV’s and travel trailers but none for Imagine trailers and the wall material we have on our trailer.
The question is how much wall prep - and what primer and paints - work best on the wall material in our trailers? It’s not really wallpaper and also not wallboard; is primer the best to prep the walls before painting or just go with a paint with primer already in the paint?
Thanks in advance

You need to thoroughly clean the walls with a solution of TSP and DEIONIZED water. Do it twice and rinse with just DEIONIZED water. This removes not only cooking and body oils that have accumulated but will also strip residues from outgassing of buildings materials. To do the job right, once, a separate primer a must. Glidden Gripper the lowest end choice that will work well, but do not use oil or shellac-based or that paper stuck to the luan backer will bubble off and leave you a disaster! After you wash and before you paint, put a residential dehumidifier in the coach for a couple days to dry back excess moisture. Good luck!
