Cooper H Tires

Anyone know where the high temperature setting should be? I’m installing TPMS on new 310 GK-R. Thanks

I think it depends on the TPMS you are installing. My TireMinder I-10 monitors the temp (whatever it is I suppose) for a temp above 167 degrees.

Other brands may be able to be set. You may have to look at your owners manual.

167 degrees is one of the default settings on this Bellacorp. I’ll us that rather than the maximum of 185 degrees.

Run your rig and see where the temps fall and come up with a setting that makes sense above that. I will change mine on the fly sometimes depending on ambient temps or other conditions.

I asked Cooper. Here is there response for the H rated tires.

"The RV trailer should have a placard on it that states what the tires should be inflated to. The max / min pressure should be +/- 20% of that number. Cooper would recommend a max temperature of 180F. The inflation pressure should be set at the placard specified pressure. If there are large changes in ambient temperature, the inflation pressure should be reset to the target inflation pressure at the current morning ambient temperature.
