Remove Garage Bed and Couch
I have a 351M, and the drop down fold out bench/couchs and the bed are never used, and probably never will be, just not what Im interested in. Seems like removal of these wouldbe a pretty good weight savings overal, and give me some cargo capacity back. Does anyone have any idea what the weight of these two pieces might be? Is it enough to make it worth the disassembly and removal?

Not sure of weight, but you should be able to pull about 8 pins and take them all out.

In case you want more cargo space, you might consider using the top bunk as a cargo elevator. It seems to work pretty well.

Ditto’s on the cargo elevator. I built the sides up so when all the way up nothing will vibrate over the edge. Your biggest issue will be finding some to take the benches off your hands. No value.

I am in the process of moving into my new rig and am amazed at how much stuff I have even after throwing out most everything from my sticks and bricks home. Putting bins on the top bunk is a great idea, thanks! I just finished converting the lower benches into two desks so now its on the the upper bunk.

Remove Garage Bed and Couch
I sold mine in a day.
Lots of overland folks building stuff.
Sold the bench’s and put another bed in so I have two beds that retract up. Got rid of the couch and put in bar tables and stools for eating area. We like it. You can look out the windows now when you eat vs being in the garage all closed up.Last edited by overkill19; 08-12-2022 at 04:38 PM.
