Camper choice finally made, now, what suspension??

After way much more tado than i could stand, looks like i am going up to a 2022 303RLS, NOW, after reading mostly pros to the Morryde suspension upgrade, dealer says he will upgrade the Dexter suspension to the Morryde 3000.

Question.....is it worth the $1000 extra to have it installed?

    Thanks to all.

    Is it to you?
Are the parts not less than 500?

Is the dealer including the wet bolt kit? Parts for the CRE3000 and wet bolt kit would be $400 at the most. It's really not hard to do it yourself and save at least $600 in labor. I thought it was a good upgrade when I did it on my Momentum.

What Suspension does the trailer come with? The MORryde CRE3000 susp and wet bolt kit is about $300 for parts only.

Yes, $300 is retail price for the CRE3000 and the HD shackle kit. Go to one of the sponsored rallies held each year and you can pick them up under that. There was a poll late last year (maybe it was the Escapees forum?) that gathered shop rates for service. I recall the average countrywide was around $100. So, if you take $300 retail, do the typical dealer markup on parts, that's about $400. At $1K quoted, that's $600 for labor or about 6 hours of shop labor, which is pretty much on point to do this job effort-wise. Yes, I have done many of these... If you are a handy one with tools, have jacks and jack stands, you can DIY it over a nice slow weekend just fine.

Is the cost for the CRE3000? Our 2021 came with it stock and manual shows it as standard on 150 series and reflections? https://www.granddesignrv.com/sites/...re-051920b.pdf

Is the wet bolt kit different then what comes with CRE3000 stock? See otions on etrailer, but confused to what it is since or 2021 has zerk fittings on back and there was no indication when we bought ours that it was upgraded.

Factory switched to wet bolts at all locations stock.

Seeing what your new coach is, I believe it should have CRE3000 on it stock. Talk to your dealer or GD to confirm unless @huntr70 sees the thread and does.

If so, the shackle kits still the way to go, the put some Roadmaster shocks on it!

@Rgpracer, it sounds like your dealer is not in the know. I spoke with a gentleman last night who volunteered at the recent rally (has for several years). According to him, GD has switched over to the MORryde suspension systems on all new units as @geotex1 said.
