22' Imagine XLS 22MLE fresh water not filling to specifications

I put a meter on my fresh water fill and at 32 gallons it starts coming out of overflow. Specifications say it should hold 43 gallons. Shouldn't it hold something closer to 43?

First off, it looks like you're pretty new here, welcome to the forum. Are you sure the tank was empty when you started to fill it? Even though the gauge might have shown empty, that doesn't mean the tank doesn't still have quite a bit of water. The only way to be sure it is empty is to drain it first.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did drain the tank twice via the fresh water dump valve under the RV. Also made sure it was dead level. Both fillings maxed out at 32 gallons before overflowing. I guess it could be that my meter is off. Should test that. Also confused why two overflow pipes? One looks like it starts draining before the other, which I am guessing is higher on the tank or something.

I believe that GD (along with everyone else) has total capacity listed for fresh water.

It doesn't specify that the tank is 43 gallons, it says 43 gallons capacity.

Pretty sure that includes all your fresh water lines (and used to include the water heater capacity before they went to tankless).

I can't vouch or the water lines, but for my Solitude, the 93 gal cap includes the 12 gal in the water heater. Kind of deceiving.

Yes, but at least it is consistent throughout the manufacturers.

That makes sense. I was wondering if the missing 10 gallons might be in water heater and lines. Thanks for clarifying.
