A/C change out - do it yourself

My rear A/C gave up the ghost (Domatic 15k) three months after warranty expired. Friend and I changed it out with a new one in about 30 minutes. Cut the box off(leave bottom on) push n pull up an extension ladder set in place, snap wiring harness in, fish thermostat wire back in the coils, bolt her down, cover it up, and let her rip tater chip!

Changing the air conditioner is not exactly rocket science, is it?

Toughest part is getting the unit up on the roof. Ladder extended way out is great to slide it up with ropes.

Curious as to why you needed to fish a new thermostat wire?
