Solitude 2930RL Gutter Down Spout
I have an issue with my gutter down spout sitting over my front awning cover. The down spout pours water on the awning when it is rolled up causing the awning to be filled with water. After every rain I have to open the awning to allow it to dry out. Is there a reason this is made this way? Is there a way to replace this spout with one that diverts the water away from the awning?

Circumstance of assemblages of stock parts, unfortunately.
I believe that spout is the longer made. You will need to customize something. Personally, I would just get another set of spouts, cut the return off one, and bond and seal it to the current spout to provide a couple more inches of length and casting to the water.Rob & Nikki + Cloverfield

No I do not. It was either 1/2" or 3/4". I have lots of both laying around and just grabbed some that would work. Measure across the gutter downspout and the coupler is slightly smaller. You can kind of see the downspout "pinched" in the picture.
If someone figures out the correct size, please post back here for reference. My trailer is in storage and it will be a month or so before I go back out there.

Chris,
That looks like a good work around. I still find it odd that they would place the down spout in that location. Thanks for your input.

Chris,
Did you have to modify the down spout in any way? Mine points down so much that it tucks in under the arm cover.

I resealed the down spout (very poor job from the factory) but no other modifications required. My spout was about 1" above (and emptied directly onto) the awning motor cover, so the extension goes over it and is clear of the awning housing.
Here is a view from the ground showing the clearance a little better. May need to zoon in on it.
Chris.
