Help Replacing Faulty Gray Valve in 303RLS
One of the two gray gate valves( bathroom gray water) in my 2014 Reflections 303RLS is stuck open. When you push the handle closed you feel a pushback almost like something rubbery is in the gate. Maybe one of it's own seals? I have two questions.
Can anybody show me pictures or describe in detail where to cut the coroplast so as to make the access hole as small as possible with enough room to complete the replacement?
Has anybody replaced this valve? If so any helpful pictures and information would be appreciated as to performing the replacement and ordering the parts.
Thanks in advance, Jon

In that picture referenced, the grey tank is the one to the left. The one to the right is the black tank.

Hi Jon,
I just took part and cleaned my black tank valve yesterday. I chose to loosen and roll back the coroplast from the front to the sewer pipe. It took less than an hour to do this. Once rolled back the black and bathroom grey valves are fully exposed and easy to work on. (The galley grey is also accessible.) I don’t know what your valves are but mine are bristols. I didn’t replace mine but simply took it apart, checked the cable function, cleaned it and put it back in.
Our trailers are not the same but pretty similar I think in layout. So that should give you a rough idea of the time involved. I’m not a fast worker.2018 295RL Relection

I have a '19 295RL as well.... were they easy to pull apart? I bought the Bristol repair kit to do mine and it sounds like they just unscrew in each corner to pull apart to get to the gaskets. Did you use any lubricant on the seals and valve when putting them back together?

Yes, they are fairly easy to remove. Four bolts to remove and the valve will slide out. However due to the piping configuration the valves won’t just fall out once the bolts are removed. I used a short piece of 2x4 to pry GENTLY on the pipe. The pipes flex enough to allow the valve to slide out.
I use Dow Corning 111 valve lubricant and sealant. There are probably other lubricants that will work also. Lubricating the seals helps the valves to work much easier.
Just be careful prying on the piping. You don’t want to break anything. If you are doing all your valves it MAY be easier to take them all apart at the same time as there will be more flex in the piping as the valves are removed.2018 295RL Relection

As others have stated remove the screws holding the coroplast underbelly from the front working towards the axles.. there is absolutely no need to cut holes in it. I just had mine partially off on the right front to run a new dedicated circuit for an outdoor GFI that I added under the right side propane compartment door. In my 337RLS the valves were just to the left of the basement storage door and fairy easy to access. On the tanks the valves themselves are located as low as possible midway along the rear edge of the tanks. A while back I was trying to find out where the valves were located in correlation to the tank itself to assist in fully flushing them out. Located where they are means that you will empty your tanks more completely if you raise the front of the RV while staying level side to side.
And since I mentioned it here's a picture of the GFI receptacle that I added. I cut it into the sidewall for a cleaner look and I had to order the Cooper black plastic horizontal cover to match.
