The deuce is only 1/2 inch.
Thanks WhittleBurner for your reply! I looked at that one but have not made a decision. These beds sit so high I would not be able to see what I was looking for anyway.

Yea that's where a step of some sort comes in handy. The new Silverado's have a step in the side of the bed. That would be real nice.

Water can get in the back of the bed where the cover meets the tailgate. I've never been able to totally keep some water out. While it is minimal, I do pay attention to what I put near the back if I think I am going to drive in rain with something covered in the bed (without the 5th wheel hitched).

Mostly I have it for security so i can lock it when away from the truck as I keep some tools in the bed.

When closing up the cover and bed close the tailgate first then push the cover down. Check the seal going across to make sur it is not curled under. That will keep the water out.

I have to X2 on the Backflip. Excellent folding hard cover.

Our bed is 6’9”. We use a hard cover folding top by Bakflip. Works great and we can leave if folded down on the section closest to the cab without fear of it interfering with the 5th wheel.

I have a Bakflip MX4 four panel tonneau on a 2019 3500 Ram 6’4” bed and tow with three panels folded on the fourth panel. I never had a problem.Click image for larger version.

Another vote for Bakflip...I have an original F1 that has been on two trucks before this one. Clears everything nicely and keeps my LP tank, coolers and other odds and ends pretty much out of the weather. The rear weather strip was coming loose a couple of years ago and they sent me f&r ones for free. I wouldn't have anything else.

I have a Paragon aluminum folding cover. When folded it is virtually invisible in the bed. The only complaint is you have to tie it in place and make sure there is something in between the panels so they don't scratch when folded. A little pricy but a very well built and looks good on the truck too.
