Water dripping out of inside main vent on 2970RL.

Warm and very humid morning in Missouri and I noticed water/condensation dripping out of my main ac vent above the island. When closed the rest of the vents don’t seem to push much air either. The unit on top of the roof seems to be draining correctly but I haven’t taken the cover off to see for sure. Any tips to look for would be appreciated.

Good Morning! Sorry to hear of your troubles. Two things you could check immediately would be the foam gasket that seals the ac to the roof and that your ac is actually torqued/tightened properly. The reason I bring up the second item is when I installed my RV Airflow insert I found the lag bolts that hold the ac in actually loose, literally hand tight only.

Thank you for the advice, it is much appreciated! I checked what you mentioned and all is fine. It was really iced over for some reason. Maybe the high humidity and I had the ac set too low? I’ll keep an eye on it but thank you again.

Under those conditions, it helps to set the thermostat to "Cool Hi." That way, there's more air flow through the AC (and it's constant) and just the compressor cycles on and off.

If your living room or kitchen roof vent is open, close it. Our condensation issues on our AC vents went away once we closed the roof vents. YMMV
