I was thinking more like those garden hose valves that go between the nozzle and the hose. It's a female on one side and male on the other. I'd connect the male end to the female end of the pex.

    Something similar to this...

That won't fit on the low point drains. The female fittings with the plugs in them have a
1/2" NPT and will not accept a male hose bib thread.

If you don't want to cut off the existing fittings and crimp on new fittings to the PEX pipes you would need to go to something like this if you want a hose bib thread with a valve.

Yep. Male threads on each end. Hardware store didn't have them so I ordered a pack off of Amazon.

Looks like GD was once again listening to their customers, as our Transcend manufactured in 03/21 already has ball valves on the low point drains.

Nice. I really do like Grand Design. They have great customer service and things like this just reenforce my opinion of them.

I'm probably gonna pick up a couple of these for my 2020 2500RL.

I had thought about using cheaper garden hose shutoff valves but I just get the sense that these will be more reliable. The last thing I need while camping is a leaky low-point drain.

    Those should work!
As I mentioned above those cheap plastic garden hose valves won't fit due to different threads. I went with a quality brass hose bib valve mainly to be able to attach a short hose and recapture my antifreeze for using in my sink traps and black tank.

    They didn't work. [emoji3525]

They looked like they would work. I cut off the smaller diameter part of the fitting but when I tried to screw them in they started cross threading after 1-2 turns. I had to put the original plugs back in.

They should be visible through the underbelly. A blue and red tube with black and white fittings. The white fitting/plug is replaced with a 1/2 NPT ball valve, threaded on one side.
