    Lightbulb Momentum discussion....new floor plan

The Momentum is a fine Toy Hauler, good layout, good floor plans, decent features. Now with some manufacturers heading into the Toy Hauler interest and making the Toy Haulers more into a livable space with more creature comforts, just wondering if GD might look into more floor plan options with the Momentum class. Point in general for discussion is, we currently have a 2019 397TH, decent for what we are using it for at the present time, but now we are looking at more living space. Starting with the 2021 376THS and 376THS-R, this has really peaked our interest. We have also looked outside the GD line of Toy Haulers and like the units with the forward kitchen. It would be interesting to see what GD could do with another floor plan to include a model like the 376 but in a forward kitchen design. The Toy Hauler that started us thinking this way is the Riverstone 42FSKG if anyone wants to check that out. Lot's of nice features, but, we think GD could take that floor plan to the next level.

It will be interesting to take in other's thoughts on GD adding a fourth floor plan to the Momentum class.

Front kitchens kill tow vehicles with huge pin weights. I would bet that the Riverstone is over 4000lbs.

Add in the garage and set back axles that a toyhauler utilizes, and pin weights are crazy. Takes you out of the mainstream buyers as even some regulat classed duallies will struggle with cargo capacities.

@huntr70....You bring up a good point, but you could have answered your own question by checking the spec's on the Riverstone. The Riverstone Front Kitchen models are heavier than any of the Momentums, even the Riverstone Front Living model 37FLTH is heavier than any Momentums. This is why I was bringing up the discussion and figuring that GD could come up with a better design, better options and lighter package. It would be interesting to plant this thought seed into the heads of people and see what the reaction is. Below are the advertised weights of the Momentum 376TH, Riverstone 42FSKG (Front Kitchen) and the Riverstone 37FLTH (Front Living).

    Momentum 376TH (Front Living): Hitch=3250, Unloaded=15900, GVW=20000
    Riverstone 37FLTH (Front Living): Hitch=3970, Unloaded=17504, GVW=21000
    Riverstone 42FSKG (Front Kitchen): Hitch=3950, Unloaded=17726, GVW=21000

With these spec's as advertised on the manufacturers web sites, and the Riverstone Front Kitchen is 20 pounds lighter than their Front Living model. If GD could come up with a Front Kitchen model with a Hitch Weight also 20 pounds less than the current Front Living, (aprox. 3230 pounds comparatively speaking), I would buy one tomorrow.
