Tow vehicle for a 390rk
Just curious as to what truck most folks are using to tow their 390RK.
Thanks

For that length and weight, should be a ton'r dually. If you do the math on your pin weight, (part of your payload weight) I think you'll agree.

I have a 1 ton but it’s a SRW. It would be right at my limit. Yeah I could overload it if I maxed the trailer but I have always carried very little cargo in a camper.

We pull ours with a 450. That said GM/Chevy/Dodge all have higher payload ratings than Ford for some reason in similarly equipped trucks. I say that so we don't assume a srw 3500 is overweight. I have a friend that tows a 390 with a 21 model GM 3500 srw and he is well within his ratings and says the truck handles it well.

As others have said, you'll need a 1-ton dual rear wheel truck.
