Roof question 2016 303rls

I have a question regarding the rubber roof. My roof looks great I take great care of it. But I do cover my rig. It seems in a few areas the cover ( that’s supposed to protect) has worn the edge of the roof thin. What should be done about this. Roof tape?? Lap seal??? Does anyone else have this issue or have ideas for a fix.

Eternabond tape, prep, clean, apply, roll.

Have you used this before. How wide of tape should be used.
That would definitely protect the edges Also would you do the entire sides or just small patches
