    Hot water heater won’t work

While on our fourth trip on our new imagine 3110BH I could not get the water heater to work. It is gas and electric and neither would heat up. I was on city water and also tried filling the tank to draw from it. I verified the breaker was not tripped. I verified it has water by pulling on the relief valve. Switched each electric and gas on several different times over the weekend. Gas was flowing because I was using the stove. I have not switched the bypass valves and had not had any issues on the first 3 trips. Any recommendations?

Both gas & electric are on a 12VDC control circuit. There may (probably) is a fuse on the voltage supply to several things behind the control panel. You will need to take it off the wall to search and follow the wires to confirm. A multi-meter to check voltage at the switches would be a big help to confirm voltage and identify the "hot" wire. Also check the control board at the water heater. If you can confirm 12vdc to it that's the next place to look and more difficult to rectify. This fuse is just one of the "easter eggs" that GD provides to confound us. Look at your converter and water pump locations to find several more.

Check the electrical plug on the circuit board and ensure it is making a good connection.

What circuit board are you referring to? Is this the breaker panel?

This assumes you do not have a DSI Fault on your control panel. There is a circuit board on the outside of the trailer behind the access door/panel. In that board there will be a 2 amp ATC style fuse. Pull it and be sure it is not blown. If it is not blown then I would move to the thermocouple/thermal cut-off that look slike this https://pantherrvproducts.com/dometi...y-cut-off-eco/

If you have an extra thermocouple I would replace and see fixes the non-op condition. I recently help another RV with their water heater and it was a bad thermocouple.

Here is a troubleshooting guide for the Atwood (Dometic) water heater. http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Atwo...ice-manual.pdf
