Don't forget the washer hookup and drain (but your XLS21BHE does not have one).

If you blew out the lines first, your city water hookup should be okay, but it’s often overlooked. Also take in your water pressure regulator and filter.

Do I need to go buy another gallon and re-run antifreeze to that sprayer to make sure the line is full or am I ok? Hopefully that made sense. Basically, the pump didn't have antifreeze going in, but I didn't have any fixtures on either.

I used just under three gallons for the whole job and put the reminder down the P-traps. My unit has a kitchen sink, bathroom sink, shower, toilet, and outdoor spray port. I did them in that order.

    Thanks in advance.
Why is it I never hear or read about putting antifreeze in the black tank flusk line. I bought a small pump to but on my cordless drill to pump antifreeze into the black tank flush system maybe I don’t need to winterize it?

Like many things, it depends. Our Kantleak water panel in early generations of GDRVs did not need to winterize the back flush system. Our Owners Manual also did not state it was necessary.....no mention to do or not to do. We actually had conversations with GDRV folks who confirmed not necessary.

However, when this good question came up elsewhere a few weeks ago, at least one GDRV owner shared that their Owners Manual with the Nautilus system did state to winterize it. Maybe it has something to do with the Nautilus system or a CYA by GDRV to prevent possible issues with the panel and/or lines/black tank back flow vacuum breaker.

If the black tank system hoses are installed correctly with no low points which may freeze and the back vacuum breaker device works correctly allowing water to drain both to the black tank and out the water panel connection point after use, it s/n be necessary.

We did ours one time until we learned that it was not needed with our vintage GDRV and all gtg after 7 seasons. Many folks consider it good insurance to prevent freezing damage and the resulting aggravation, possible damage, and less than easy repair since it is quick and easy to do requiring not much antifreeze.......can't argue with that.

What does your Owners Manual say ?

Hi Folks... good read... and I just wanted to advise those that might be like me... we have a 337RLS and it is prepped with washer/dryer hook up in the bedroom... wellllllll, please do NOT forget to drain those points as well as run some antifreeze through them... I saw a video that mentioned it... but there is NO mention of it in any of the Grand Design instructions.... I took a spare washing machine hose and hooked it up to each so that I could place a 5 gal bucket and not spray crap all over the closet... worked great... but if I had not seen that video, I could have had an issue... and this is my first RV.... I too ran out with 4 gal of antifreeze... but was able to do all of the items mentioned above...

Next year, I might need to place some ball valves on the low-point drains, as it is tough to crawl under the rig and use two wrenches to remove the plugs... also, at least on the 337RLS, the fresh water tank release valve is horrible to get to (for an old fart like me)... wish they could have placed it in a better place

I also relocated the freshwater tank dump valve and overflow pipe for easier access and added a valve to the overflow pipe to avoid excess water loss while traveling.
