That is exactly my problem! I pulled the outlet out and checked voltage on both the input and the GFCI protected output wires behind it--no voltage. There must be a breaker somewhere else...

per an email thread elsewhere, I went looking for the inverter.

Found the inverter. There weren’t any circuit breakers but there was a GFCI outlet which was tripped. It would not reset, nor would it power up when I pressed the power button.

I tried turning off all circuit breakers and then main power. Waited a minute of two and reset all them. Still no luck fixing the GFCI outlets.

Is there some other switch for the inverter, or does this mean the inverter is bad?

    Thanks Chuck

Your trailer has a converter, not an inverter. There is a difference.
The converter has nothing to do with GFCI. It provides DC only.

Have you looked behind the removable wall in your basement storage compartment for a small sub panel mounted back there? Also does your rig have solar too?

Yes we have solar. I will check later today for a sub panel. BTW the inverter also has a GFCI plug as its output which is tripped and won’t reset.

I totally powered down the entire unit and disconnected shore power. Waited 15 seconds and then reconnected all systems. The invertor now lights up showing 13.5 and then 0 alternating on display. There is 120 showing on the plug which is its output.

GCFI circuit is still down. So the problem is probably not the inverter

    @Chuckscha

    A few questions...
    Where are you located?
Where exactly in the RV is the GFI located that won't reset?
Does every other recept. inside and outside the RV work?

I am in North Thurston County WA

The GFI is in the bathroom. It appears to control outlets in kitchen area and the electric ignition of stove.

All outlets other than those with GFI labels work fine.

Sending you a PM with my cell number... call me if you want to try and troubleshoot this over the phone. I'm in Pa so it's about 4:30 pm here.
