Question GFCI plug has no power coming to it in Solitude st345GK

Hi folks, been searching the forum for this type of issue, but nothing too close came up. We are living in our Solitude while building a new house. Unit is only 6 months or so old.

The GFCI outlet popped and would not reset. I assume it had just died. Bought a new one and when I pulled the factory one out to check for power, so I could determine correct circuit breaker, I discovered that it had no 110 voltage coming into it. Have tried resetting any of the circuit breakers that could be the source for this outlet. No change. All non-GFCI outlets work fine. Some of the threads talked about a GFCI sub panel, and my breaker box has a 20 a sub panel circuit breaker, which I reset w/o fixing the issues--but no sign of another breaker box.

Short term we can use extension cords...Any ideas or help would be appreciated!

    Thanks Chuck

Look at other GFCI outlets. Bathroom, basement and others in the kitchen area.

Thanks but think you misunderstood me. I pulled the outlet out and checked the 120 power coming into the back side of the GFCI--it was dead. The other outlets are marked GFCI but are not GFCI outlets--no buttons

Typically there is another gfi that Tripp’s and will not let voltage go to the others maybe outside one or some other gfi

The part that I don't get is the GFCI plug has no power going to it but all other plugs work fine.

That is exactly my problem! I pulled the outlet out and checked voltage on both the input and the GFCI protected output wires behind it--no voltage. There must be a breaker somewhere else...

There may be a sub panel with a tripped breaker. There will never be a GFCI feeding another GFCI. There is no need to as a GFCI outlet will feed an unlimited string of outlets.

Thank you for your help so far…

Got response from an email pointing me to the inverter as possible issue. Found the inverter. There weren’t any circuit breakers but there was a GFCI outlet which was tripped. It would not reset, nor would it power up when I pressed the power button.

I tried turning off all circuit breakers and then main power. Waited a minute of two and reset all them. Still no luck fixing the GFCI outlets.

Is there some other switch for the inverter, or does this mean the inverter is bad?

    Thanks Chuck
