    Bedroom TV mounting screws

Drill went right through the wall paneling, hit no resistance and right to the wall paneling on the other side. You can push in on the paneling, all give, no support other than a stud.

That’s when I tried the magnet thinking I was off a bit.

The shower is directly behind it.

My understanding it that interior walls have wood behind the mount location sticker. Exterior walls have a steel plate that you can use magnets to locate the plate edges. Try a stud finder on interior walls.

An interior wall should have a piece of 3/4" plywood under the wall luan to mount to... It appears that yours is missing.
Depending on your handyman skills vs. waiting for a warranty fix, you may want to fix it yourself or have the dealer do it..

It would not suprise if upon opening up the wall, the plywood was to be lying on the bottom of th interior wall unattached to the studs like it should be.

You are probably right about finding it in the wall, I was able to mount to the one stud I did find for now, I’ll investigate more later. Thanks for the info regarding wood vs metal possibility.
