I have one of these set to “inch mode” controlling my garage door. My brother in law, who bought it for me has 4 or 5 in his RV controlling various lights. He has them behind the light in the ceiling. There is a mode setting to change from “inch mode” to a standard switch. There’s also a setting as to which state the switch defaults to when power is lost. So if battery is disconnected, then reconnected so you want the switch to be on or off.

What about an Alexa-smart 120VAC outlet plugged into an electric outlet and a USB power block powering a USB lamp?

There are smart switches that can be controlled via Wi-Fi, and I think some of them can be paired with Alexa too.
