12V Alexa wifi switch?
I'm looking for a 12V switch that I can yell at Alexa to turn on/off for a custom over-the-sink light.
My 5th wheel was too cheap to have a kitchen light, the fan is right there with 12V easy to tie into. I need a switch that uses Alexa and is 12V input and output, only a couple of amps.2015 Ford F350 6.7L TurboDiesel, Crew Cab, short bed SRW, 4x4, Lariat

I thought for sure one of the guru's on this forum would have an answer for this.
I am watching this topic with much curiosity.2020 Reflection 29RS 5th Wheel

Depending your level of tech savy, you can go with a zigbee based 12v led strip controller if you have a zigbee and Alexa compatible hub. Not a cheap option if you're just wanting the single light. But if you think you'll expand to other things this is the route I would go.
Or you can find a 12v light fixture/bulb and wire something like this in with it:

none of my research has found anything that is pretty simple. A lot of Alexa stuff in 110 V. Wow, this is a market someone could own!

Just throwing this one out there. For you smart guys, do you think this would work with LED overhead lights?

Actually, that SHOULD work just fine. Emphasis on should... If you do it, let us know how it works! You do know that Alexa need 110VAC, unless you figure out the input voltage and amperage of the wall wort that powers the little puck.

My Alexa "hocky puck" is USB. I have it connected in the Reflection all the time, we love it. It is better to yell at Alexa, than the wife. LOL

Did my own search as well and that is the only reasonable solution I found. For the low rice I would give it a try. My only question is that if 12v power is cut/removed will it automatically reconnect and pair. I know pairing can be a challenge for less expensive electronics. And some expensive ones as well.

I kept looking at these, just couldn't tell if it only worked via their eWeLink phone app, and how it would work with Alexa.
Most of these newer things are over my head or a bit too much work, like setting up another Pi3 to run an IFTTT broker, and and/or flashing Tasmota to the Sonoff and using HTTP and NodeRED, like https://flows.nodered.org/node/node-...sonoff-tasmota
Appears if this MHCOZY Updated WiFi Wireless Smart Switch Inching Self-Locking Relay Module is made by the Sonoff mfgr., then below might apply.

"Recently, we made a great breakthrough: we have released a brand-new Alexa smart home skill.
You can use English (US), English (CA), English (IN), English (AU), English (UK), German, Japanese and French command to control eWeLink devices.
The smart home skill is renamed “eWeLink Smart Home“. Compared to the old skill “eWeLink fan”, the smart home skill is more intelligent, more responsive and more friendly! With the smart home skill, users can control more Sonoff devices with simpler commands now. The smart home skill even supports complicated commands of adjusting LED’s brightness and color temperature. We will step to step teaching you how to set up to use the smart home skill and control Sonoff devices below."- Gene
