if it is anything like ours, There will be wiring right in that area for lighting or the optional ac right there. You can take the trim off of the vent and it is easy to see. Just make sure you tap into a 12v supply.

I installed a fantastic fan in the bedroom on our 303. there is AC as well as DC power where the old fan is. It's a very simple and well worth while upgrade. The hardest part was getting all the old factory sealer removed. I used butyl tape and decor self leveling sealer, been through some pretty good rainstorms since and have no leaks. Good luck!

I know there are 3 12v ceiling lights but they are all switched. If I use the wiring from them my fan will be switched as well? How do I get around this?

I recall there's a 12V wire that's not part of the switched power for the overhead lights. It would be used for 12V supply for the control board on the optional A/C unit.

You're correct Dave! There is 12v unswitched in my case it was a pink wire that I tied the fan into.

I replaced the bedroom roof vent in my 27RL today with a Fan-Tastic power vent with rain sensor. I thought I would have to hook it into the switched overhead lamp but discovered there was a live12v line just waiting for me. I liked the idea of a larger fan that can move air either in or out and with only one window in the bedroom its the way to go. I also replaced the roof vent/ fan in the kitchen area with the Fan-Tastic remote controlled version. The factory version was similar to one you would find in the bathroom and the knob to raise the cover could only be accessed by standing on a stool. Love that remote control! My sources for the fans were Amazon and eBay. It's a simple DIY project that will make a big difference in creature comfort.

I have a 323 BHS and would, like to add 2 of these fans. One in the upstairs bedroom which does not have a fan already and one in the kitchen which already has the small bathroom type fan. That fan was a switch I'd like to bypass of course but I have no idea where to look for the bed room. That has wiring for a second ac in there. But how can I locate a constant 12v source without cutting wires?

Kozzy, I unscrewed the interior trim and discovered a pair of wires that went to lamp next to the head of my bed. I checked them with a voltmeter, determined that they were 12 volt and unswitched. I tapped into them using 3M connectors. Hopefully you have a similar set up. I'll try to upload a photo. Jim
