Suggestions to Reattach Trim?
We have a 2021 Solitude 2930RL. There is a trim piece that is about 5 foot long that spans the ceiling, actually its a paneled compartment that sits below the ceiling over the bed and sits in front of the pull down shade. It has fallen down twice now. It weighs about five pounds. From the factory it was attached with 6 staples. The ceiling panel is at most a 1/4" thick probably more like 3/16". Just nothing for a nail or screw to get a good bite into. I tried construction adhesive but it wouldn't adhere to the ceiling panel. So looking for suggestions? I thought of trying industrial grade double faced tape or toggle bolts. The panel is so flimsy the bolts might pull the ceiling panel down with trim. If all else fails just might have to live without it. I just cant imagine that the factory attaches heavy pieces of trim to flimsy ceiling panels with staples and expect them to stay in place. Definitely a safety concern if it lands on your head. So any suggestions or things you have done?

I have used this GE Iron Grip on other projects with great success. Be sure you clean the surface you will be attaching it to with isopropyl alcohol. Need to get any residue off that would interfere with adhesion. If it is on the ceiling you may need to come up with a method to support the item until the adhesive has a chance to set. Some boards or sticks to hold the trim piece against the ceiling until set. Most cars today are 'glued' together rather than welded so there is an adhesive out there that will work.

I prefer a construction adhesive like Liquid Nails for this type of job - have used them successfully in several areas in our rig.
