Production number / VIN

While visiting the Facebook Grand Design Owner's page, I asked how some of them knew which number their camper was when it came off the production line. My serial number is 573FM4029F1201351. As I was informed, it goes something like this: 573=country code, F=type: 5th wheel; M=Momentum; 40=length; 2=no. of axles; 9=check digit (?); F=model year: 2015; 1=plant; 201351=build number. Also according to the informer, my Momentum was the 1,351st in total production. Okay, I could accept that, however, another Momentum 350 owner has an almost identical VIN number, the only difference being the "check digit". She has a "5" where I have a "9" and that is the only difference in our numbers.

So, how do you read the VIN to know the production number? Does this indicate that mine was the 9th Momentum 350 made in 2015 and hers the 5th? We're all guessing right now, but I figured someone on here will have the correct answer! Thanks!!
