New to me 2021 reflection 315RLTS

Today our new to us reflection 315rlts arrived. We didn’t have the 50-30 amp connector to plug into our barn, so we were unable to check out everything. Two things we found so far, our radio only has static and our fridge is not cooling very well. I’m hoping we can get this resolved tomorrow, the other half is quite peeved. Not sure what to tell him.

Welcome to the forum! We have the same floor plan. Sorry to hear of your troubles so soon in your experience. Please not that if this is a Norcold or Dometic rv fridge it will take a good 24 hours to really cool down. Let it run and check it in the morning.

Curious, do your other vehicles get radio reception inside the barn?
As for the refrigerator make sure the propane is on and full and the small pilot flame is staying lit. When my RV was new it was supposed to come with 2 FULL 30 lb. tanks according to my dealer prep sheet. First trip out I ran out of propane in both tanks on Memorial day weekend. Also when turning on the refrigerator for each trip to pre-cool it do so several days beforehand and make sure to do the start up at around 1-2 PM. This is important because the refrigerator will go into it's first auto defrost cycle 60 hrs after each initial start up and every 48 hrs after that...this puts the defrost cycle at 1-2 AM when the refrigerator isn't being opened. Also try an add prechilled and frozen items only when initially loading it up.

We got the fridge running and cold. I didn’t know about that defrost cycle, not sure I’m going to like that in Florida? How long does the shut down last? I usually defrost mine once a month. We also got the radio working, everything else is going smoothly now. We don’t leave for Florida until the end of October, lots of time to get the wrinkles out.

Our camper is parked outside the barn, plugged into our prewired outlet. And yes, radios work in our barn.

You need the antennae booster turned on for radio reception. Look behind the main TV for the 12 volt booster.
