Strange ... Solar Package MANDATORY?

I didn't know the 2022 22RBE came with the Solar Package as MANDATORY? Is this new for the 2022 models or was it always this way. I was under the impression this was an option. What a nice surprise.

Grand Design is switching to 12v Furrion compressor fridges. There has to be some sort of 12v recovery

The 1420 up charge is a joke though imo

Not sure what is or isn’t a good price it should be coupled on the customer end with a good solid battery package.

The MSRP did go up in September although, probably do to these changes. Fortunately I put a down payment in before the price increase.

Quite sure there is zero price protection. The dealer may eat the profit loss but also may not

My understanding also. Pricing is no longer locked in when ordering. At least from the factory

I just picked up my 22RBE yesterday at the same price I was quoted in August.

Nope, they installed a basic interstate RV/Marine deep cycle. The MPPT is designed for a Sealed, AGM and LiFePO4 Lithium battery option.

Did the dealer know it had the solar package?

I really got a kick out of Grand Design’s “mandatory options.” An oxymoron if there ever was one. Why don’t they just say “standard?”
