    Underbelly Discovery and Screw Replacement

    Hey guys,
I was working on the new to us 2019 Reflection 337RLS

I was surprised to find that the underbelly cover had been previously opened. Not only opened but basically, cut in half. I contacted the previous owner and found that the warranty company had replaced a tank due to a leak. I completely understand that these things happen but I don't think the warranty company did their best work in putting everything back together.

What is the best tape to seal the underbelly with? Gorilla Tape? I'd also like to replace some of the screws. Some are missing and some are missing the rubber-backed washer. Does anyone know the part numbers for these? Maybe I can find them at ACE?

    Thanks!

It looks like they may have used the appropriate underbelly repair tape, but their care in application leaves something to be desired.

You can span the cut with thin boards or a metal strip and screw it in place and add tape if you want.

This is only the small part that they opened up. A little further back they cut from side to side and did even a worse job covering it back up. Would be nice if I could find a track to slide each side in and then attach it to the frame.

Ideally you’d want to have some mechanism to pull the halves together, though not too much. I’ve thought about it in the event I have to get into the belly in the center.

I'm thinking of trying something like this. Ideally I'd like to see this in metal.
