    What year?

Considering a used Chevy or GMC 2500HD with the diesel. I was thinking 2015 to 2021. For those who know more than I do on the subject...are there years which are better or stay away from?

You're looking to give up a CTD for a Duramax???

You must want to stand out amongst all of the RAMs and Fords at the campground!

Kidding aside, in your date range I'd stick with the L5P Duramax so 2017+.

The Big 3 light truck diesel engines are all good powerplants. I would not consider switching from a RAM 2500 to a used GM 2500... I would put more emphasis into moving to a 1-ton SRW truck in your situation. 3/4-ton diesel trucks are short on payload.

    What year?

I have a 2015 LML SRW 3500 and I installed a fuel lift pump as the CP4 pump scares me. lol But I love this truck. Would not change
