Need to replace Propane Gas Detector
Hello,
I need to replace my Propane Gas Detector, and I'm sure the smart thing to do is turn off the electricity before hooking up the new wires.
However, would it not be simpler, and still safe, just to remove the Fuse to that circuit?
...If so, that's my issue: I cannot tell which, if any, is connected to the LP Gas Protector.2020 GD Imagine 2970-RL

That 12v circuit may not even have a fuse (at least easy to find.) Just be careful and keep the wires separated, no need to shut off the power.

Removing the fuse may not do any good, neither will the battery shut off. The detector is a safety item and is hard wired to the battery. Best bet is to disconnect at the battery.

Need advise on wiring scheme for propane detector if anyone can help. We have a 2016 GD Reflection 29RS. When we removed the old Safe-T-Alert model with the red and black power wires, we did not pay attention to which wires from the rig should be reconnected for new one. The wire colors from the rig (2 sets I assume on for battery and electric) are white and the other white and yellow. I was assuming the positive wire is the yellow/white while the white is negative? Any help appreciated!

I think you posted this query as a new thread. 12 vdc RV wiring doesn't follow the conventional dc standards. (Black or dark color = ground or negative voltage; red or light color = positive voltage.). You will need a multimeter to figure out which wire is which.
