Our destination is a beach, any beach really, on the Pacific Ocean where we can sit for a few days and watch the surf. We are looking at Paradise by The Sea Beach RV Resort in Oceanside, CA but it gets mixed reviews. I’d appreciate any suggestions for full hookup campsites along this route (pull through if possible). We are pulling a 31’ fifth wheel with a 1 ton truck. We are using RV Parky too. Thanks in advance. Mike
First of all thank you for your service!

Month. Very clean and nice staff. My son and I walked to beach in under 8 min along a nice path. Great restaurants and as was already mentioned here, an awesome Mexican market up the st (walking distance) with amazing salsa! Be sure to visit the local restaurants - they’re great and have thousands of 4.5/5 star reviews on yelp etc.

We stayed at Paradise by the Sea in Oceanside for 5 weeks this spring and loved it. The sites are small, but it's clean and has friendly staff. There's easy access to downtown Oceanside, Carlsbad, and I-5 to venture out further.

Choose your site carefully. Coast Highway busy during the day. Sites near the entrance will have some road noise, and sites in the back (#55+) are closer to the commuter train that passes a couple times per day. Neither were an issue at our site in the middle of the property.

It's a short walk to the Buccaneer Beach, as others have mentioned. The 'beach' is rocky - great to watch the surfers and sunset, but for sand you'll need to go to the pier downtown or to the Harbor beach. Walk south from Buccaneer park along Pacific St (on the elevated sidewalk) for great sunset views through a nice neighborhood.

Save time to visit Sea Hive Marketplace next door too. They have 100+ vendors of gifts and antiques under one roof. Enjoy! San Diego County is a special place

Bring your own cloth grocery bags. I believe CA banned all plastic.

    Which "Chula Vista resort"?

The one near H street (near Galley at the Marina restaurant)? they closed Oct 17. The land was sold a couple of years ago to a developer. The owners have bought a new resort (Sun Outdoors San Diego Bay, next to Living Coast Discovery Center) on E street. We stayed there a couple of weeks ago. It's nice, real new (trees not real big), but pricey and they have a lot of rules about staying there.

We liked the original Chula Vista RV resort.
