    Finally hit the road!

    Hi Friends,
After an endless wait for the Ford F-350 we finally nabbed one and hit the road two weeks ago in our Solitude 310 GK. To say there is a steep learning curve occurring would be an understatement. I’ve dope slapped myself for not checking in with this forum sooner but honestly there seemed to be NO TIME for anything. We’ve packed up our house for renters and will be making the Grand Tour of the US and hopefully Canada over the next year. Does that count as full timers? Dunno. Love, love, love my truck, love, love, love my 310 GK!
Co-pilot hubby is the tech person and may be asking questions of you experienced and wise people. I’m the driver and route planner. I also have a blog but I don’t know if I can post that here. I think you’d get a laugh from all the stupid things we’ve accomplished in just 2 short weeks!

Anyway, glad to no longer be a “fireside” member (hope my status gets changed soon) and so excited to be a proper part of this great community.

Welcome! We go fulltime next August. Sold the house already and moved into a rental (so the youngest daughter didn't spend her senior year in the camper). Looking forward to hitting the road!

Thankfully, I've been towing trailers most of my driving life (age 12 is when I started with the hay truck and trailer).

There is a bunch of knowledge here, so search and ask away!

Mark & Mary. Full-timing across the USA (and Canada)!

Congratulations! Now you can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

"Fireside Member" is not determined by whether or not you own an RV. These titles are automatically determined by the number of posts:

    0-4 posts - New Member
5-14 posts - Left The Driveway
15-39 posts - Setting Up Camp
    40-99 posts - Fireside Member
    100-499 posts - Seasoned Camper
    500-999 posts - Rolling Along
    1000-1999 posts - Big Traveler
    2000-4999 posts - Long Hauler
    5000+ posts - King Pin

Yes that counts, so well welcome to the fulltime ranks. Hey all of us started somewhere and we have all made mistakes. The wife and I share the navigation and driving duties although I drive more than the Wife, but she can drive and tow the rig. Welcome and ask any question,
