Sanitizing the unit is not necessary every time. Look in your manual, read through this thread and use the search function on the forum and you'll find a lot of good info on cold-weather camping and winterization.
I see this is your first post. Welcome to the forum! You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:
Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

It’s not unusual for us to winterize four or five times each year as we camp through Nov and Dec in the Southeast. We take Jan “off” before heading further south first of Feb. No need to sanitize each time, just dewinterize as usual. Lots of rinsing.
