two months since order - nothing heard

Reading some of the earlier posts, seemed like I should have heard something in a 'normal' environment but it's been crickets from the dealer since we ordered 8/31. With the recurring supply chain issues that are affecting everything wondering if anyone has a pulse on what's going on in Elkhart these days?

I don't think what you are experiencing is outside the 'new normal'. We got our trailer last July 30. We put a deposit on it on June 1. The dealer already had to t on order.

You should call your dealer if you want to know the status. They are the only ones that can give you the answer. If they can give you a VIN then call GD for a build completion.

Calls/emails to the sales person and no call back or return email for the last month. Likely he has no additional information but a return call saying so would be nice. I went over about a month back and sat down with him. All he could confirm is the order has been placed. All I have is the order sheet with the dealer.

Your expectations for information may not be the dealer/salesperson expectations. I have found that reaching out to the dealer/sales person and communicating your expectations often improves communication. Two months ago I received an unsolicited $150.00 check from our local dealer for a referral. No harm in letting your salesperson know you, you are great advertising and references.

Your next step would be to get a VIN number and a projected offline date.

Dealer should be able to get that by now. It is entirely possible that it hasn't been scheduled yet, and then you won't have anything yet.

Our dealership connected me to the regional GD rep who was very helpful in providing status as our unit was getting built.

GD expects to have it completed 30 Nov. Can't wait though it will be parked for the winter after it arrives.
