How are your D-Rings secured to the floor?
Greetings All -
Out of curiosity, I removed a couple of the D-Rings in the garage of my 349M just to see how they were secured to the floor. To my surprise, I found that they were merely screwed into the plywood floor. Holy cow! I am no engineer, but I don't think this would provide the stated 2500 lbs. At least in my opinion.
Mine are a good 12 inches away from the frame, which in my opinion, is where they should be secured. Into the frame. Instead, mine are about 2 inches from the wall. Not even close to the frame.
A neighboring 388M in the park I am currently in checked for me, and sure enough, theirs is screwed right into the frame. Much more secure.
So my question is, where are yours located? Are they just screwed into the floor, or do they actually screw into the frame?
Thanks for checking and for your reply.
