What's the correct sequence for un-hitching with stabilizer bars

Hello, what is the correct sequence for un-hitching when you have stabilizer bars?
In other words, what do you do first ...unhitch from the ball, or take of the stabilizer bars, then unhitch form the ball?

Raise up until you can remove the bars with little effort, lower until full weight on the hitch then unlatch and raise until it comes undone. This should be pretty much the same steps for any wdh. But first of all, choke those wells.

Thanks for responding, but I have no idea what you're saying? "Raise up" what? "Lower" what? "Raise" what? "Until what comes undone"? "wdh"?

Raise up with your jack until you can remove the bars with the supplied tool with a little effort, not much. Then lower the jack until the trailer fully sits on the hitch. Unlatched the hitch, the raise the jack back up again until it comes undone with you hitch.

    Hi Iceman,

    Here you go…

Park and level side to side using blocks or plastic spacers (still connected to tow vehicle)

    Chock wheels

Using front hitch jack raise tow vehicle and trailer together to take pressure off of the bars

Once pressure is off remove bars

Lower trailer until all on the truck

Undo ball coupler and raise until tow vehicle are trailer are separated

Pull truck forward to full clear

Lower jack until trailer is level front to back

    Hope this helps. [emoji4]

    Happy campin!

OK so Bill @Redapple63 has a little better detail description then I did. [emoji38] but seriously, I, we cannot stress enough to choke the wheels. Yay got it right this time. @The_Lovells

Sometimes it is easier to see it vs reading. The youtube below will help.
