Should I ordered 2nd alternator on new truck for charging Li batteries?
I am ordering a new GMC 3500 standard (short) box to pull 303 RLS. Should I order a 2nd alternator for charging through a DC to DC charger to charge a Li bank?

I have twin alternators and it is nice to be able to connect chargers and invertors without worrying about capacity. Go for it.

I would definitely order the dual Alternators if I were planning on installing a DC to DC charger for a large Lithium battery bank.
PS: I strongly recommend getting a tailgate step, without mine I wouldn't be getting into the truck bed.
PPS: The other option I ordered, but didn't plan to was the Engine Block heater, not too expensive, but nice to have if you need it.Last edited by SolarPoweredRV; 11-11-2021 at 12:07 AM.
