Hello and a Question

Hi everyone! This is my first post on this forum and I look forward to reading all the great information here. I am seriously considering a 2022 GD 22MLE or 2500 as a first trailer. Normally, after a lot of research, I am a very decisive buyer. I'm having trouble pulling the trigger because of all the stories about terrible quality leaving RV factories. Like you, I don't want to do the "forever wait" for service and parts just because the factory is having a bad day, or a lot of bad days. I know Grand Design is high on the quality list, but on the RV lot I saw a few "little things" that I wouldn't expect from a high quality manufacturer. Sawdust, drawers that don't slide correctly, incorrectly mounted TV, etc.

So what is the story on Grand Design? Are the new model owners happy with the quality?

We love our 22mle, we did have a few small issues but they were all taken care of by GD. Left over saw dust is an issue in all RV and brand new houses also. You have to set the time aside and do a complete PDI walk through and get these items looked after by the dealer. Most our dealer items. GD is known for their after sales service. BTW, if I had a bigger TV the 2500 would have been a really strong contender.

Ours is 18 mounts old. Never back to dealer. One small water leak when new I fixed myself and flat springs that I had local spring shop fix in 4 hrs. and Grande Design refunded me the cost. Been very pleased with it. Any rv will have a few minor problems and it helps if you can do repairs yourself to avoid it sitting at dealer for weeks and weeks.

Well,
The bed is a rock.
The TV (telly) doesn't play through the ceiling speakers.
Cabin lights are bright.
Bathroom is small.
Sadly, hauls with a 1/2 pick up.
Can't roast a turkey of any size in the oven.
Have to join a cult to own.

What's not to love????
