2018 337rls broken leaf spring - what do you recommend to replace?
Do you recommend Lippert or Morryde? I was going to upgrade to 3500# but don’t know the size to buy. Anyone have the part number?

2018 337rls broken leaf spring - what do you recommend to replace?
First, I noticed the this is your first post. Welcome to the group!
Lots of great experience here and not just for issues, mods checklists, places to see and much more! Great folks here.
Now to your problem.
My recommendation is. Unless you plan to go with the Moryde independent suspension, I would recommend going to a good truck shop and get a quality set of springs. They will be Made much better than anything you can get from Lippert. The prices for the independent truck shop in my opinion will also be more reasonable.
The Moryde is an awesome upgrade, but also a costly one, so depending on what your looking for, I believe the truck shop is the best option.
I am sure that others who have gone through this will chime in worthier experience.
Good Luck!

We have a 2018 375res. I had to replace all 4 springs. Went to 9,000 # per axle. Much heaver ones.

Hi Duck,
Couple of questions
1. Did the heavier springs make your rig bounce more?
2. Did you get them installed by the dealer or am independent shop? If independent, did you find the springs to be better quality than a Lippert spring?
Interested in your experience.
Thanks,

1) They did not seem to make the rig bounce any more.
2) I installed them myself. Took me about three/four days. Might have taken less but I had to fix a brake also. Springs were of much better quality. Thicker and much heavier.
3) I will never do this again! It is a lot of work and I am too old.2018 Solitude 375 RES 2022 F450 Powerstroke Dually

I always buy Dexter. They have a great tech support dept. Not saying they are any better but they have been around a long time.
I try not to but anything Lippert when replacing a item. Morryde seems to make quality products also.2021 351MR

Hey there Dick, we have just broke a spring on our 29RS. I read somewhere it is suggested to go to a good truck/suspension shop and get the replacement. It appears the other springs may be sagging.
Do you know what the spring poundage is OEM and what poundage would be good to ask for?
thanks for any assistance in the right direction...

Bradley -- I think the originals on ours must have been about 8,000#/axle. Max on our rig is 16,000#. I went with 9,000#/axle for a total of 18,000# knowing that about 3,000# will be on the king pin in the truck. I think this gives a nice safety factor. I suggest you take one of your springs to a supplier so they can get the proper size/fit for your rig. Let them know what you would like to have. Expect to have much heavier springs and be harder to replace. If you do not have wet bolts, as you replace the springs, now is the time to install them. Remember, wet bolts cannot be reused. They have to be replaced with new ones each time they are removed. Let us know how this project goes.

Almost forgot -- I'd replace all four springs.

Copy - The 29RS is GAWR 4400 lbs per axle. The GAWR for all axles is 8800 lbs. My guess is when I go to the store I would give them this detail and they can give me a stronger spring? Anything I should watch for rating wise...
I wonder what the poundage rating is for each of the OEM springs.
Thank you.
