Question I need a good large Cooler/ice chest

Any recommendations on a 50-60QT cooler. Yeti gets good reviews, but is very pricey. My old Colman made it 40 years I think, but was lousy at keeping ice and things cold. Getting older so wheels could help, but not required.
    Thanks

I highly recommend the Coleman ones from Walmart. My friend traveled across the country in 3 days with frozen sausages and ice in the cooler (70lbs of sausage). When he got back here, the sausages were still frozen, and the cooler was full of ice. This was at the end of September, and he kept the cooler in a uhaul truck the entire time.

We have a Lifetime brand. Purchased from Walmart. I know the Ozark brand also gets good reviews.

One nice feature on the Lifetime are the latches and ease of use. There was no way my wife could do the rubber latches in the Yeti.

Do not buy a Yeti. Over priced and they do NOT perform all that well. And they are heavy.
    I have one.
An Igloo will keep things colder for much longer.

Don't spend so much for a Yeti. Just get a good 5 day cooler. Coleman Xtreme have been reliable for us. I go on fishing trips packing in 6 coolers for a week twice a year. My favorite are the Gray and Orange version as they hold temp very well but have more room inside. Since they are in bear boxes they don't absorb heat from the sun. Otherwise, the white coolers are better for reflecting sun but the walls are thicker and hold less.

Yeti are just a marketing scheme, no better then others. They get people on "you get what you pay for" . On our last hunting trip, my buddy had just bought a Yeti. His ice last as long as mine in my Coleman Xtreme. What I like to sometimes do is freeze water in plastic milk bottles. Works great and your stuff doesn't get wet. Depending on what you want to use it for, you could always get a 12v cooler.

RTIC is what we have. Very good cooler and built like Yeti but 1/3 the cost.

Kysek or Rtic are great coolers that are less expensive than Yeti.
