Lithium Battery Question
I recently installed a SOK 206AH battery, main fuse, new on/off switch, Renogy 2000 watt inverter and a 200 watt Renogy solar suitcase.
Everything went well and worked great. I put my trailer back into the storage lot for the week with the main switch to off. When I returned the following weekend,
I switched on the main power switch and had no battery power. After plugging the light cord in to the truck to tow the trailer home, the system came on. I have been able to duplicate this
issue every time I turn the main switch off. Just for the hell of it, I disconnected the Renogy inverter and tried it again, and this time everything came on properly.
So it's not that the battery is losing power, it seems like it is turning off internally until a 12 volt current is applied and then wakes it up. But if the inverter is taken
out of the system, the battery comes on properly when the main switch is turned on. Any ideas why this would be happening?

This sounds like the BMS is disconnecting on your battery. Why, I cannot say, but having to apply charge to the battery to wake it up is common with BMS to initiate the unit. Might reach out to your battery manufacturer.

I have the exact same setup only have 3 Sok 206ah and have not experienced this .
Same inverter and solar suitcase as well .

I also use the remote switch on the inverter. Are you turning the inverter off it will draw power if not .

The remote inverter switch is always in the off position unless in use. I think I am going to add an on/off master switch to the inverter. This will allow me to turn on the master on/off switch first to power up the system and then add the inverter to the circuit. Couldn't hurt to try.

Well installed a master on/off for the inverter but still have the same issue. Battery manufacturer thinks I have it wired wrong. I would love to see a pic of how Connor58 has his system wired for comparison. I kept mine pretty simple.
Battery - 250 anl fuse - 300 amp on/off master - positive bus bar - inverter

My setup is taken out for winter storage.
I have a simple setup no fuse just factory off switch.
Batteries are parallel with 1ft 2 gauge wire .
I can't see how you could have it wired wrong.

That was my thoughts as well. I will be calling SOK today and also have an email sent to Renogy for their comments as well.

Update:
SOK was no help. They said it was wired wrong without even asking for a photo of the wiring. So I joined a solar forum to ask the same question. Great feedback and even found the solution. It turns out my inverter wants to charge the internal capacitors faster than my SOK battery will allow on start up. So a new 3 position inverter master switch with a resistor wired in solved my problem. When I turn the inverter master to the first position, the resistor allows the inverter capacitors to gradually build and then I switch the master to the number 2 position for the final working position.
