Slide closure
I have a 2600RB with a slide. We retracting the slide it is moving extremely slowly and almost stops at times. We it gets to almost full closure (2-3 inches still out), the rear motor stops and the front motor continues closing. What do I need to do? Can I put stronger motors to increase speed? It’s a 2017 and I’ve owned it for 1-2 years. It has always been slow and hesitating retracting.

A sync issue? I noticed this a while ago on a Jayco forum:

Ok. I spoke with a Lippert Engineer. Here is how to fix out of sync Shwintec slides.
1. Move the slide all the way out. If one side stops as you are moving it out, release the button. Then continue to move it out. You may have to do this several times to get the slide out.
2. With slide fully extended, push button to retract.
3. Immediately upon hearing the motors whine, release button.
4. Press button to extend and hold for 5 seconds after all motor whine stops.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 for 5-6 times.
Now retract the slide fully. Same as extending, if one side stops, release button and then retract more until slide is fully in.
6. Press button to extend slide and stop as soon as motor whine is heard.
7. Retract slide and hold button 5 seconds once all motor whine stops.
8. Repeat steps 6 & 7 for 5-6 cycles.
Enjoy your new working/synced slideout.

One thing you and actually, everyone should remember to do. When opening OR closing a slide on the trailer, make SURE that a door is open. When the slide room travels, it displaces a LOT of air and if there is no way to admit the amount of air in the trailer when it's going out.....or to push that volume of air out of the trailer when the slide is coming in, it will definitely slow down the movement of the slide....sometimes to the point that the slide will almost stop or actually stop briefly. ALWAYS have a door open to equalize the air pressure in the trailer when the slide is moving. See if that helps your situation.

You must have a much better built trailer than any I've ever seen. Those slides move relatively slowly and there's no shortage of spaces for air to escape.

Yeah, the slide does not move that fast and as stated, there is so much 'ventilation' that you do not have to keep the door open.
If you like to understand how things work, you should take the class on how that slide works. Once you have the knowledge on how it works, then you can either fix it yourself or have a better understanding what needs to be done by a professional.
Best of all, the only thing it cost is your time.

When we operate the slide on battery on only it is much slower then when plugged into running TV or shore power. Your problem might be related to your battery.
