Anyone cap water lines for washer/dryer?
I have a 2022 Reflection 337rls. We have no intention of ever having a washer/dryer. I hate having to winterize these water lines. I’d like to cap them at the source and was wondering if anyone has ever done this? I searched the topic and only found 1 question on this from 2015 with no responses.

My initial thought is if you don't use them, why mess with them. If they've been used at some point, then when they've been winterized, they won't need it done again. They do have shutoff valves don't they? Or are you thinking of removing them completely?

I would put in shut off valves instead of capping. '

Yes, that’s a great point. As a Realtor, I see the residential shut offs either seizing up or leaking over time, so I do want to leave them in place for some future buyer, however, I’d like to either install shutoffs in the underbelly so there is no water or antifreeze in them again. I just know we won’t use them, so why take the chance of a leak. I was hoping someone else had already done it so they could tell me where the hot and cold originate. I’m assuming they maybe tee off of the bathroom sink.

Sounds kind of silly really, you want to install more shut-off valves because you're worried the shut-off valves could leak? So now you have 4 points of possible failure instead of just the original 2? Sometimes the old saying: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is a good mantra.

The 337RLS is soooooo easy to winterize. Your idea of capping the valve male threads is a must if your not installing a washer/dryer! A coat hanger or anything gets caught on the valve handle and opens them it will be a mess. Just uncap them, add hoses and drain the antifreeze down the drain next to the valves when you winterize.
Although I must say one of the best purchases we made was the Splendide unit! Don't leave home without it I say. Easy to winterize also!
Never say never....a equally good mantra!Tom and Sandi

I put caps on for the above mentioned reason and put shut off valves in the lines right inside the outside curbside storage. That way no water sits in the lines....
