    Question Conversion Van Towing

I am looking at a Chevy Express 2500 passenger conversion van with aftermarket 4x4 to tow an Imagine 2400BH. Curious if someone else has a similar setup and what their thoughts are on it.

Any idea what it weighs now vs. when it left the factory? You’ll have to figure on around 850lbs of payload used up with tongue and hitch weight plus whatever the conversion and 4X4 take away. May not leave you much for passengers if that is your goal.

The 7500lb weight of the trailer is more than the base model van can handle by a good bit.

They are building on the gas V8 express 2500 chassis which has 2,300LBS of payload and 9,600LBS conventional towing specs. The conversion will eat into the payload but I am fine now with an Expedition that has 1,450LBS of payload so I am not that worried.

I'm pretty sure an Expedition doesn't have 14,500 lbs. of payload. What did you mean to say?
