The easy test is to turn the water heater off and either run all the hot water out or wait for it to cool and see if the toilet still gets hot. That will tell you if it’s plumbing or furnace.

You know, after having that little round POS toilet in the Coachmen 313RLS for the last seven years, that is a VERY plausible answer. The salesman at CamperLand thought it was odd then I specifically asked to see the toilet on this new rig before I paid for it.

x2 for checking the outside spray/shower attachment. If the hose is disconnected the water is off, but if the knobs are on, that's the #1 trouble-shoot for lack of hot water and/or hot water coming out where it shouldn't be. Connect hose and ensure those are both off, and then see what happens. Granted, under that scenario you'd see hot water issues elsewhere, I'd assume...

You could also wait until DW is in the shower and flush, and gauge reaction from there. If hot shower turns cold, maybe it's mis-plumbed. Might want to have your running shoes on before trying this method.

That tends to indicate that it is NOT the water plumbing.

I would look to see if the heating vent is pointed straight at the toilet and the furnace is heating it up.

Heat vent on our 21 Reflection 367BHS is right behind the toilet. I like to think of it as a nice option. LOL

Are you sure it's the vent? Not the air intake? That's what we have behind the toilet (on the floor).

Hell, I don't know. I sure hope it isn't the intake. If it is the intake, once of these nights I'm gonna blow that trailer straight off the pad!!! LOL

Surely to God GD doesn't suck swamp gas into the heater then push it out in the the entire trailer.
