City water Chlorine smell and taste
2019 GD 295RL 5th Wheel. We are camping in a residential driveway using their hose bib. The water in the house and hose bib tastes fine. I’m using a potable water hose with a new charcoal water line filter. Valves are set to City Water. Water coming out of bathroom and kitchen faucets in RV smells and tastes of chlorine. Even after filtering through a Brita pitcher filter it still tastes bad. Huh?

Sorry. I didn’t include that information. We’ve been in the RV full-time for 11 months and this is the first time it’s happened. What’s more, when we got here 4 weeks ago the water was fine. Weird, eh?

Have you added or replaced a filter of some sort?

The chlorine levels in city water systems can vary - especially in small towns. The best solution we've found for this (short of a reverse osmosis system) is an under-counter filter system that uses a filter with a ceramic shell around a carbon block. Here's what we installed:
https://www.rvwaterfilterstore.com/u...-filter-system
It's working extremely well for us.
BTW - You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:
Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

I've had that happen and it turned out to be the potable water hose causing the issue. Was not a clorine taste though, just a bad chemical taste and smell. I just replaced the hose and problem solved.

I changed my inline charcoal filter and that did not help. I am going to replace the hose and see if that fixes it.

Changed out the Camco 25’ white potable water hose for the Camco 35’ blue hose. Problem solved. Thanks for everyone’s input!
